Well another swap meet club display has come and gone. The weather man did his best to make it a wet one but, despite the rest of the city having a wet Saturday, we never got a drop at the display site. Sunday turned out nice and sunny, which is good when you have to pack it all up at the finish!
Thanks to club members who brought out their cars out for the day. I think we had nine or ten cars on both days. As usual we munched our way through 40 bangers and 30 patties not to mention some drinkies.
Despite Saturday being cold and grey the amount of public and display cars was huge. A little less on Sunday but still good. All in all it was a good weekend.
Carol and I stayed out there two nights and had a fairly relaxed time. And, yes, my poor long suffering Nissan van, fully loaded, did tow the caravan home (got nearly 80kmph on the motorway - I won't mention what the temp gauge was reading!).
We get better at this every year and I am looking forward to the next one.
Once again thanks to the members for making this event successful.
