Car Run to the Hurunui (August 23rd, 2009)

The Plan:
We would meet at the Belfast Pub Carpark, travel up to Waipara, turn left and head for Waikari.
Then left to Hawarden through Horsley Downs & on to Medbury. Finally on to the main
road & left to the pub!
The Result:
We had about 12 cars line up for the Sunday run and made the Hurunui pub for afternoon tea
(or was that lunch - actually I think Cheryl reckoned that it was breakfast and lunch!).
A very pleasant drive - the weather stayed fine so we extended the event a bit and went back via
Greta Valley. Popped into Pineacres restaurant for a final coffee etc.
The Hurunui pub even had photos on the wall from the Transalpine Rally two years previously!
A great day out was had by all!
