Run to Hanmer and return via Waiau & the Leader Valley
(April 26th, 2009)

We could not have had a better day than what we got for this run. With the sun, warm breeze and all the Autumn colours it has to be one of the most beautiful runs I’ve done. Top this off with a great meal at Robbie's in Hanmer and friendly, lighthearted company. We regrouped often which kept us pretty much together. On our way home we just had to stop at Pukeko Junction for a coffee (more than just coffee in some cases).

One member who shall remain nameless forgot to put his gas cap back on before leaving Hanmer and left it sitting on top of the Seven's boot. Luckily an eagle eyed Fraser driver saw it fall off and it was returned to its rightful place at Waiau (Senior moment, Kit?). Is that better or worse than a member who arrived half an hour late for departure.

All in all it was a very good, fun run. Many thanks to Stephen Clarke who put it together for us.
