Photo Competition - March 2008

“Flash, bang, wallop, what a picture….” The 2008 Version!

This was the first Photo Competition run by our club in the digital format.
Contestants were given a list of subject titles and then sent on their way. The rules were simple. One entry per subject per team. The photos were to be loaded on to a memory stick or CD for later transfer to a computer and data show for viewing. This was done to avoid complications with specific camera software.
All contestants and a few other club members then gathered at Sue and Ken’s home in Lyttleton for a BBQ where all entries were displayed as a slideshow. A judging team from non contestants had heard the comments on each others photos as the slideshow ran while the BBQ was being prepared. This helped the judging process.

Many thanks to Sue who prepared a superb meal which was enjoyed by all.

The required photograpic subjects were: Action Shot, Car and water, Night time, Port hills, Garden city landmark with a Lotus, and Its moments like these.
