Cathedral Square Display - October 2008

Central City shoppers and office workers were treated to a lovely display of 22 Lotus cars in Christchurch's Cathedral Square in mid October. The cars were owned by members of Club Lotus NZ (North Island) and our own Southern Lotus Register (SLR). This display was a precursor to the celebrations centred around the 60th Anniversary of the foundation of the Lotus Car Company and our annual SLR Transalpine Rally. These, along with our Wigram Finale thrown in as well - it was going to be a very busy week!

The display attracted a great audience with many people stopping by to ask in depth questions about the various Lotus cars which ranged from a beautiful early generation Elite all the way up to some of the latest products from Lotus UK with a sprinkling of Lotus Sevens in between.

All in all....a VERY worthwhile public exercise!

Thanks Everyone!
