Over the weekend of October 13 - 14th, the club put on a display at the annual VCC Swap Meet held at McLean's Island, Harewood.
Heaps of club members attended and brought their cars to the display. Saturday was the best. We almost lost count of the number of cars we had - it was a tight squeeze!
Sunday was a bit cooler and wetter but we got away with it. We must be tough.....
As usual we munched our way through a good many bangers, patties and drinkies, not to mention devouring lots of Graham and Wendy Simpson's wedding cake brought all the way from Oamaru!
A certain club member, who shall remain nameless - but has the initials D.P., tried to start his own BBQ - unsuccessfully thankfully!
We tried to heist the 'Best Club Display' trophy again but, after the fantastic showing last year (surely even bettered this year!), I think the event organizers took pity on another car club....
Thanks to all who attended and helped with the display (especially Kit & Carol who braved the weather on Friday to set up the 'Club' caravan!) - it made for a truly great club outing.
Onwards and upwards for next years' event - tally ho!
