Andy Burchall, director of Lotus Cars South Island Ltd., invited club members to come along and view the current offerings from the manufacturer of our favourite marque. The line-up of new Lotus cars on display included the Elise, Europa and an Exige. There were also cars of lesser marques on view!
Andy gave us a run-down of the business and the cars currently in stock plus some mouth-watering hints of Lotus vehicles to be launched in the near future.
He also indicated his intentions of organizing a track day (or two!) at Ruapuna with an invitation to club members to attend. Hopefully, one of these will tie-in with a planned celebration of the 50th anniversary of the birth of the original Lotus Seven - more details to follow!
Afterwards we were invited to sample some welcome refreshments upstairs in cafeteria/boardroom. Thanks Andy for putting on a great evening thoroughly enjoyed by all.
